Still and dark
I sit satisfied
basking in the glow
of a life (that I)
plucked from destiny.
A life of decision,
leaving confused and undecided,
I came groping forward – on instinct
until I found a life,
gained through blind insistence
on self truth.

Thank you for sharing!
AND…thank you!
Pictures and words of paradise.
Andra, you have worked on your life just as I did on mine in order to write something like this. Ironically, this was a piece I wrote long ago on the back of an envelope and it had made its way into my folder of poems — and while sorting through them last night I “found” it — some two decades after having written it.
Keep on basking in the glow!
